The popular annual event welcomes the new Lord Mayor into their role in May 2025

The Lord Mayor's responsibilities include:

Acting as the ceremonial head of the council
Being a focal point during times of crisis, tragedy, or triumph
Hosting events
Welcoming members of the Royal Family, dignitaries, and visitors

The event offers a full day of entertainment from 10am to 4pm, featuring immersive shows, virtual reality experiences, workshops, street performers, dance performances, musical acts, and activities in The Piazza, community stalls, and food and craft markets.
