Dartmoor Zoo has the largest collection of big cats, including African Lions, Amur Tigers, Jaguar and Cheetah. Visitors will also find Iberian Wolves, European Brown Bears, South American Tapir, Ostrich, Meerkats, Otters, Monkeys and much more. You’re bound to find some of your favourites from tigers to tarantulas.
Follow the daily timetable of events with public talks at feeding times and animal encounters. There are also falconry displays and children's activities during the holidays, such as quiz trails and face painting.
In 2006 Mee family purchased the struggling Dartmoor Wildlife Park. Zoo Director, Benjamin Mee recorded the story in a book, "We Bought a Zoo", which was also made into a film starring Matt Damon and Scarlett Johansson.
Monday – Sunday, 10am – 4pm. The last entry is at 2.30pm.
Dartmoor Zoo tickets are £17.30 for adults, £12.65 for children aged 3-15, under 3s are free. Family tickets and concessions are also available.

Fishbone Restaurant is ideal to fuel up before or after the event. The team serves breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, evening a-la-carte or traditional roasts on Sunday. An early-bird dining menu starts at 4pm and you can indulge on 3 courses for £25.
