Let the kids run wild in West Hoe Park! The park not only hosts a large children’s play area, but it also has a miniature railway and putting green, crazy golf, trampolines, a merry-go-round and a bouncy castle.

Let your kids explore nature in the woodland, beach, park and pond at Mount Edgcumbe. There is also a historic house and gardens to discover, boat trips, and an interactive sawmill. You can enjoy free use of the Mount Wise Swimming Pool! It has a cool 25-foot main pool, a small paddling pool ideal for smaller children, and a separate pool for lots of fun and splashing that hosts fountains, stepping stones, a whirlpool, and a bubble pool. Open from May to September.

If you fancy an educational day out, why not visit Crownhill Fort? It is the best-preserved of Lord Palmerston’s Ring of Fire, which surrounded Plymouth during Victorian times, acting as a protective barrier for the Royal Dockyard at Devonport from fierce French attack!
