Future Inn Bristol is proud to help raise awareness for Macmillan Cancer Support and support their fundraising efforts
Macmillan Cancer Support is one of the largest British charities and provides specialist health care, information and financial support to people affected by cancer.
As well as helping with the medical needs of people affected by cancer, Macmillan also looks at the social, emotional and practical impact cancer can have, and campaigns for better cancer care. Macmillan Cancer Support's goal is to reach and improve the lives of everyone living with cancer in the UK.
Macmillan Cancer Support supports local information and support centres, cancer support groups, benefits advisers and cancer support specialists, and can help with practical, medical, financial and emotional support.
The fundraising groups in Bristol, Bath and North Somerset bring in £8 million a year and are a vital part of Macmillan Cancer Support. People in the community could not be reached without committed volunteers. They are helping to get closer to Macmillan Cancer Support's goal of reaching everyone affected by cancer.
Throughout the year we hold fundraisers with donations being given directly to Macmillan Cancer Support. These include our annual staff bake sale at Halloween where you can try some truly scary delights, the annual Elf Day at Christmas where staff will dress as Santa's helpers for the day and other events such as World Cancer Day.
In 2019 the World's Biggest Coffee Morning for Macmillan Cancer Support will take place on Friday 27th September. The team at Future Inn Bristol will be taking part. Our Chefs will be making some delicious treats, including the now infamous chocolate brownies as well as some marvellous creations by members of staff. These will be on sale and we will hope to raise as much money as possible.
