Historic Mansion House in Llandaff, Cardiff

Mansion House Cardiff | Llandaff Cardiff Wales | Insole Court Review

Explore the Grade II listed house and gardens in Llandaff with free entry.

Insole Court is a Grade II* listed Victorian gothic mansion built for wealthy businessman James Harvey Insole. It dates back to 1855. After falling into disrepair, the house was saved by the Insole Court Trust, which gained significant funding. After an extensive refurbishment, the house's ground floor has reopened to the public.

The site hosts daily classes and activities, including yoga, painting and dancing in the room hire facilities. Plus plenty of one-off Insole Court events. Such as the monthly farmers market, community dog shows, concerts, film screenings and heritage tours.

Whether visiting the impressive mansion, wandering the ornate Insole Court gardens or popping into The Potting Shed Café in the Stable Yard, Insole Court has become a must-see attraction in Cardiff. Relax in the Reading Room, browse the second-hand book store, or buy local products in the Gift Shop.
