Brace yourselves for a frosty fiesta as The Cardiff Bay Snow Trail returns for its second year, promising to sprinkle some seasonal magic over the heart of Cardiff.
Now, we know what you're thinking. Cardiff Bay isn't exactly the North Pole, and the odds of spotting a snowman are usually slim. But fear not; this winter, this frosty FREE event invites all the family to embark on a chilly escapade around Cardiff Bay in pursuit of eight elusive snow-themed characters.
On each character is a letter. As you discover them all, note the letter on the booklets available from Reception at Future Inns, at the Red Dragon Centre, participating venues in Mermaid Quay or online at Visit Cardiff Bay. The letters will spell out a festive word when you have found them all. You can then enter the free prize draw. There are weekly prizes, including an overnight stay with us at Future Inn Cardiff Bay, including breakfast.
Wrap up warm, get your map and a heart full of holiday cheer, and become a seasonal Sherlock. Your mission? To track down these mysterious snow creatures that have decided to make Cardiff Bay their temporary frosty home.

Launch Event
The launch event is on Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 December, at the Red Dragon Centre, between 12 pm and 4 pm. It features free games, including Snowball Splat and Narnia Ring Toss, and again, you can win prizes. Also, there's face painting and photo boards to capture some memories for the family memory book.

Finish your day of exploring with a Festive Afternoon Tea in Thomas Restaurant. Sandwiches include roast turkey and cranberry, and Black Bomber cheese and onion chutney. Plain sandwiches can be organised for younger children if they would prefer.
The sweet treats include festive macarons, mince pies, mini black forest trifles and meringue stars. Of course, there are scones with clotted cream and jam, too. Wash it all down with unlimited refills of tea or coffee. Children can have squash or hot chocolate instead.
Available from 1 – 31 December (excluding Christmas Day) between 1 pm - 5 pm.
