The 2025 Great Bristol Half Marathon, now known as the AJ Bell Great Bristol Run, will return on Sunday 11 May 2025. The event comes with its own distinguished history. First staged in 1989 and known as the Bristol Half Marathon, the city centre run has become a long-held tradition in the national running calendar.
This stunning route will guide you under the iconic Clifton Suspension Bridge, through the famous Avon Gorge, and finishing at the historic Harbourside. With well over 10,000 runners and a passionate bunch of local cheerers, this spectacle is one not to be missed.
Thousands of runners push their perseverance and passion to the limit each year and take on the super-scenic 10k. If stunning views, inspiring history and graffiti murals are your thing, then the Great Bristol Run is right up your street. But it’s not just the inspiring scenery that attracts runners from far and wide: the start line DJ, rocking on-course music zones and post-race celebrations create an unbeatable atmosphere!
